On site 24hr emergency care

As a practice we provide our own on site emergency service. Our own vets are available 24hrs a day to deal with emergency situations and provide prompt assistance when required at your own surgery without the need to travel to outside out of hours clinics.

This is a great help to our clients and provides “peace of mind” during difficult times and security that the can receive prompt attention when required.

Below is a short list of emergency situations, we believe that in any situation you should always call if you are worried, advice is always on hand.

• Bloat(large dog vomiting or retching with little or no stomach contents, bloated or distended stomach)
• Cuts bleeding continuously
• All road traffic accidents
• Cats with open mouth breathing or panting
• Cat or dog unable to urinate
• Collapsed cat or dog
• All poisonings this includes slug pellets, ibuprofen, chocolates, raisins and cats that have drank anti freeze ( please if you can, bring the packet with you)
• Overdose of medicine
• All animals that have swallowed something such as bones, toys and especially cats who have swallowed string
• Vomiting or diarrhoea that has lasted more than 48hrs
• All eye injuries
• Pregnancy complications
• Seizures
